As indicated by the text, the original publication included a mail-in form for use in reporting the results of your own experiments with chaos. I'm not including the form in this post, but feel free to leave comments about your chaos experiments.

Chaos Theory: Part One
Here is a little art book I produced a while back. Actually it's not so little, so it will appear in two posts. Here's the first.
Stay tuned! In the next posting you'll find the actual chaos experiment instructions. It should appear right above this post (in the upside-down logic that is blogging), or click on Chaos Theory: Part Two.

The Right to Bare Arms
Should women past a certain age bare their arms and wear sleeveless blouses? Is it anybody's business but their own? Hell, no! The right to bare arms badge:
Materials include railroad track rubble, recycled jewelry findings, a bullet shell found on the Oakland streets, and a doll's arm.

Balance in a Box
No need to wait until you are out in nature to experience the soothing practice of balancing stones. Now there is Balance in a Box, the latest false product from Stuff You Can't Have.
Two or more stones are included in each matchbox-size container. All stones have undergone balance testing prior to packaging. Now you can balance stones in your corporate office on the 35th floor of a skyscraper or take a break in the unemployment line for a little instant stress reduction. For the back story on balancing stones see the previous post, Balance in Nature.

Balance in Nature
This is the first of a two-part posting. Here we have balance in nature, next we have balance in a box. I figured out how to balance stones after seeing a guy do it on the San Francisco waterfront. It looked like magic but I figured if he could do it, I could too. I was right, and I proceeded to balance stones out in nature around the world, leaving little visual gifts for whoever came along next.
Balancing stones on Vancouver Island
To balance stones:
1. Find a small, almost undetectable dent or nick in the base rock
2. Pick a rock to balance - the more unlikely looking the better (tall ovoid shapes work well)
3. Place one end of the rock in the dent you've found and, holding the rock lightly, move it in small increments this way and that until it strikes a perfect balance. You get better at this the more you do it.

Pimp Your Television Set
Still trying to figure out how to handle flat screens, but here are a couple of pimped out classic TV sets. I find unadorned appliances irksome. Sorry about the photo quality—these are scanned snapshots.
