Window Fantasies

Made of real metal mesh that was a killer to sew, these window treatments have sewn-on beads, bits of jewelry, broken Venetian glass, scraps of rubble, laminated fortunes and pockets that contain bits and pieces found here and there, from sea glass and metal faucet handles to dolls' arms and brass birds' feet.

  3. I've only recently discovered your blog and I love it! I have no idea where you live but this piece reminds me so much of St Ives in Cornwall (England). It is stunningly beautiful :)

  4. I will have to check out St Ives. I'm far away in Oakland, California.

  5. For those interested in seaglass, the seaglass curtain is even more relevant. Click on "decor" in the topic listings for this blog, and scroll down to "rubble decor" to see that curtain.

  6. That looks so pretty! I would love having random things hanging in my windows, I already have things hanging on my walls. Not sure about the doll appendages personally.
