The Inuit place a veil made out of fish skin over the face of someone who is dying so that they can see through the veil to the next world. I learned how to cure fish skins from a woman who worked with the Inuit. These little other-worldly windows combine cured fish skins with old plastic Kodak slide frames, broken jewelry, and found objects. The views are haunting.
