Embroidered Dinoflagellate

Just because...

A winsome one-celled creature

I was attracted to images of dinoflagellates that I found in the Biodiversity Heritage Library and decided to try embroidering one of the over 2,500 different dinoflagellate species. Then I got curious, started investigating, and learned that these single-celled creatures, found in both sea and fresh water, have more DNA content than the human genome.
